Visual Merchandising Practical Session I

DRESSING-UP THE MANNEQUIN




A mannequinn is an often articulated doll used by mamny artist tailors, dressmakers, windowdreswers and other people specialy in diplaying or fitting cloths. Mannequin also called a dummy of artificial human being like to illustrate the human body form and practically used by some fashion retailers to thier visual merchandising display. It will creates impacts and attract more attentions to customers to come in or visit your store. 

Practical session in our Visual Merchandising class along with my colleagues. The statement with the photo below are the steps of dressing up the mannequin.

Step #.1 


Take out all the mannequins body part and place it into designated are properly which it would not look like messy. First, put the lower cloth whether it is pants,  skirts, etc. carefully. 
Step #.2


Put back the mannequins leg to it's own stand. Do it with care, make sure that it fully attach to the stand so that the legs won't fall in the ground.  
Step #.3

Make sure that the mannequin is in the position. Fix the pants or the lower wear that you put-in into the mannequin  to ensure that it is in good form .

Step #.4

Put back the upper body part of a mannequin and put the upper clothing gently . Make sure you hold it with your two bare hands. 

Step #.5



Put on the arms of the mannequin. It's in your own strategy of how you can do it whether it inserted to the side are of the dress or attach it first along with the body before the dress.

After you have done putting some clothes to the mannequin, it is the time to put some accessories to be more attractive and attract attention of the shoppers.    
 Step #. 7


Time to review or check all the items you put-in into mannequins. Do some changes if your not fully satisfied or you think there's something wrong in it.

Step #.8



Get any comments/opinions or do some evaluations to other people on how you works looks like, for you to know if you've done bad, it's enough or you have very well.
